Abstract Sculpture Stabiles - Greg Smith. These abstract Stabiles are inspired by the late Alexander Calder. Most are nonrepresentational metal sculptures and have a googie / mid century modern flavor. Abstract sculptures such as these Stabiles make great outdoor garden art / public art. I use both steel and stainless steel for these contemporary sculptures. Caulder used primary colors for the most part and the shapes sometimes had a biomorphic design.
