Abstract sculpture - Greg Smith. These kinetic, abstract, nonrepresentational metal sculptures are inspired by the late Alexander Calder. AlexanderCalder made pieces such as "Big Red" and "Flying Colors". Kinetic sculpture has had a rebirth of sorts in the last decade. Clader's work also inspires my stabiles. Caulder used primary colors for the most part and the shapes sometimes had a biomorphic design. Sandy invented the mobile, a kinetik art form. Kalder died 1976. You can commission a stainless steel mobile or stainless stabile. contemporary sculptures. Click any image below for more photos and information.
